Chennai Super Kings

Chennai Super Kings represent Chennai and play their home cricket at M. A. Chidambaram Stadium, widely known as Chepauk. CSK won the IPL in 2010, 2011, 2018, 2021 and 2023, giving the franchise five titles entering the 2027 season.

Delhi Capitals

Delhi Capitals represent New Delhi and use Arun Jaitley Stadium as their home ground. The franchise began as Delhi Daredevils in 2008 and adopted the Delhi Capitals name before the 2019 season. DC reached the 2020 final but have not yet won the IPL.

Gujarat Titans

Gujarat Titans are based in Ahmedabad and play at Narendra Modi Stadium. GT joined the IPL in 2022 and won the title in their first season. They also reached the final in 2023 and 2026, giving them three final appearances in their first five seasons.

Kolkata Knight Riders

Kolkata Knight Riders represent Kolkata and call Eden Gardens home. KKR are three-time champions after winning in 2012, 2014 and 2024. That title count places them behind only Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians among the current franchises.

Lucknow Super Giants

Lucknow Super Giants are based in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, with BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium as their home ground. LSG joined alongside Gujarat Titans in 2022 and reached the playoffs in each of their first two seasons. The franchise is still chasing its first IPL final and title.

Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians represent Mumbai and play at Wankhede Stadium. MI won five titles between 2013 and 2020, with championships in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2020. They share the all-time IPL title record with Chennai Super Kings.

Punjab Kings

Punjab Kings represent Punjab and currently use Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh as their main home ground. The franchise started as Kings XI Punjab in 2008 and became Punjab Kings in 2021. PBKS finished as runners-up in 2014 and 2025 but have not won the title.

Rajasthan Royals

Rajasthan Royals represent Jaipur and use Sawai Mansingh Stadium as their home ground. RR became the first IPL champions in 2008. They returned to the final in 2022 but are still waiting for a second title.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru

Royal Challengers Bengaluru represent Bengaluru and play home matches at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. RCB won their first title in 2025 and successfully defended it in 2026. They therefore enter IPL 2027 as the two-time defending champions.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad represent Hyderabad and play at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium. SRH entered the IPL in 2013 and won their first title in 2016. They have also finished as runners-up twice, in 2018 and 2024.
